We are eternally grateful for the Thriving Relationships Sessions. With Canada being such a multicultural country, we think it’s safe to say that the majority of cultures could benefit from a research-based counselling program, such as this one. There are a lot of things that we pick up from our families that are not necessarily healthy, and perhaps some that are. We often bring those learned behaviours into our own marriages and homes.

Moreover, as Christians, although we had taken premarital counselling, we came to experience that there are issues that need to be addressed in marriages that are not properly addressed with religious leaders and institutions alone. This program allowed us to pair our faith with science-backed strategies and practices that would allow us to come to a place of complete healing.

Taking this marriage course was one of the best decisions my partner and I made in our effort to nurture a healthy marriage. The program walked us through key elements of a strong and successful relationship, beginning with reflecting on how we started our journey together. It helped us rekindle the excitement and love we felt when we first met, allowing us to reconnect with the joy we shared at the beginning.

We also gained a deep understanding of our unique communication styles, which has been a game changer in how we talk, listen, and resolve conflicts without escalating. The tools and techniques for managing disagreements have made our conversations more productive, empathetic, and less emotionally charged. The focus on forgiveness created a safe space to explore past hurts and taught us how to let go of resentment and move forward with compassion.

We completed an exercise to identify our dominant love languages, and moving forward, we plan to express our love for each other based on these insights.

Josh and I participated in this workshop series in Fall 2024 and found it extremely helpful for our relationship. We have been married for almost 10 years and have a 5-year-old daughter. During the course of our marriage, however, we had not attended any relationship mentorship or coaching before. This series had helped us reflect, discuss, and find ways to address conscious and unconscious conflicts that we had not talked about before. The course material (the book) was very helpful.

We enjoyed the exercises and questionairres, which allowed us to learn about our similarities and differences. We enjoyed the most the conversations we shared with other couples during the discussion sessions. The series' environment was inclusive and open; everyone was mindful of each other's opinions. I want to express my appreciation to TMA for the positive impact their sessions have had on my marriage. I have been married for 8 years, and I had reached a point where I was not fully enjoying the purpose of marriage.

Firstly, everything discussed is highly confidential because it is strictly between you and your spouse. There is no third-party intervention unless requested. Additionally, the topics covered provide a neutral ground for partners to engage and discuss even the smallest details that couples often overlook.

TMA allows you to see that you are not alone and that there are others in similar situations. If permitted by couples, TMA provides an opportunity to share information on how to help or benefit from those who have been in similar situations.

The TMA manual used during the session is REMARKABLE. It is very detailed, well-articulated, and a helpful resource. Couples can even refer to the manual at later times to see where they stand in their journey.

Lastly, I would like to mention that TMA is worth trying because, even if one of the spouses isn't initially interested, I assure you that after the first class, that spouse will be engaged in the session. It is well-designed and well-planned. They even provide childcare during the sessions, so the couple can focus on each other.

" The Thriving Relationship workshop is a must-workshop for couples with a resolve to enjoy their marriage. Not only were the materials great and the facilitators well knowledgeable, they were also very practical. This fostered an atmosphere of openness and honesty. When I first started this program with the Marriage Advocates, I really had very little hope for my relationship with my wife Marcia.

Then we went to our first meeting and a heaviness was lifted off my chest, almost like I can breathe again. After endless fights and arguing I can finally see some hope. As we went to the meetings with Ife and Dami they guided us through some hard times and the program helped us see where we had lost touch and where we needed to improve.

The Thriving Relationship workshop has helped me a great deal to understand my spouse in a way I never knew was possible. In turn he is starting to understand me too. I truly believe this workshop or something similar to this should be offered or mandatory for couples before they get married so they don't go through all these trials and tribulations, which could potentially lead to a divorce. You learn so much about each other and about yourself. It is also a great self-reflection program.

best marriage investments we have done. We were married for almost 10 years and like most married couples living every day just as it comes, we never thought couples should really "talk".

I remember my husband and I had agreed to only come for just once but after we attended the first session on Resolving Conflict, we were hooked and came till the very end. We opened up very deep issues we kinda sidelined on the way, which had caused serious conflict and was hurting us both and that opened us up even more to deeper conversion which had led to better understanding and love for each other. "TheMarriageAdvocates Canada was a life-changing experience for our family. Its impact on our relationship as a couple is unquantifiable. "My husband and I attended the Marriage Course organized by TheMarriageAdvocates in Fall of 2022. This was a much needed and eye-opening marriage course. It was a date night setting which encouraged intimacy and connection among spouses. Through the course, my husband and I obtained new information about the institution of marriage and learned new things about ourselves, our past and our marriage. We were able to answer questions about how and why our relationship got to where it was. This was a huge burden lifted and certainly improved my mental health.
